US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, "Israel's plan to occupy 70% of Gaza is not part of President Donald Trump's 20-point peace plan."
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio answered questions from members of Congress in the House of Representatives subcommittee regarding President Donald Trump's 2027 fiscal year budget request. Democratic House Member Rosa DeLauro asked Rubio about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive to 'seize' 70% of Gaza's territory. Rubio responded to the question, "We have a plan. This plan does not foresee such a thing. Netanyahu made this statement, but it is not part of the plan."
Stating that no one will provide financial support to Gaza as long as Hamas is not disarmed, Rubio said, "Because everyone knows a new war will break out."
