U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that President Donald Trump will attend the NATO Summit in Ankara.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed the House Foreign Affairs Committee's questions regarding President Donald Trump's budget request for the State Department for the fiscal year 2027 and other international issues. Informing the members of the House about the NATO Summit, Rubio stated, "The President will personally attend the next NATO Heads of State Meeting. I believe the next meeting, which NATO will hold in Turkey in July, will likely be the most important meeting in NATO's history."
Rubio reminded that his country is a member of the Alliance and stated that NATO needs 'significant changes' and these changes will be discussed at the summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8.
