Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a written message on the 37th anniversary of the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Iranian Islamic Revolution. In his message, Khamenei claimed that the US and Israel, following their losses, have shifted from direct military methods to a more comprehensive and multi-layered sphere of influence. Khamenei stated, "A hybrid war is being conducted aimed at breaking the resilience of society following defeats on the battlefield."
Khamenei noted that hybrid warfare carries psychological and social dimensions, and this strategy is based on creating distrust among different segments of society and weakening political unity. Khamenei described the global power structure led by the US as a 'hegemonic system,' stating, "Israel is a regional element of this structure. The existence of Israel is a structure aimed at limiting Iran's independence."
