Iran: US attacks have effectively rendered the current ceasefire meaningless
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that recent US attacks have effectively rendered the current ceasefire meaningless.

Iranian media published a written statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The statement noted that the recent US attacks are contrary to the principle of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and these actions have practically rendered the ceasefire declared on April 8 meaningless. The statement emphasized that Iran will exercise its right to legitimate self-defense against the attacks and is determined to neutralize threats directed at the country. The United Nations (UN) Security Council and the UN Secretary-General were called upon to fulfill their responsibilities regarding the maintenance of international peace and security.
