Iran: Talks between Tehran and Muscat continue
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi said, “Talks on the management of the Strait of Hormuz between Tehran and Muscat are ongoing.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi made a statement to the country's press, evaluating the Iran-Oman talks. Bekayi noted that the Iran-Oman talks, which started in Tehran on July 24-25, are ongoing, and stated that meetings were held at the level of foreign ministers of the two countries on July 29.

Bekayi conveyed that the halt in traffic in the strait and the insecurity of maritime routes stem from the maritime blockade imposed by the US on Iran, stating, “This meeting is independent of the issue of US attacks and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.”
