Trump: Agreement Reached for Complete Disarmament of Hamas in Gaza
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a 'historic' agreement has been reached by the Peace Council for the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza. Trump stated that Israeli forces will withdraw once the disarmament process is completed.

 

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on his social media account that a historic agreement has been reached by the Peace Council for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. Describing the agreement as a significant step towards lasting peace and security, Trump noted that this development is a critical phase for Gaza to be governed by a new government that will serve the Palestinian people.

Defining the agreement as an important milestone in the implementation of the Gaza peace plan, Trump stated that the process will be carried out in carefully structured phases. Regarding the process, Trump said, “As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the International Stability Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to ensure Gaza is a safe place for its residents and neighbors.”

Expressing that a historic progress has been made at this point, Trump thanked Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar for their mediation efforts in reaching the agreement.
