JD Vance: We Will Increase the Amount of Oil and Gas Exiting Hormuz
U.S. Vice President JD Vance said, “We will increase the flow of oil and natural gas from the Strait of Hormuz.”

U.S. Vice President JD Vance made a statement to the American press regarding Iran. Vance stated that communication with Iran is ongoing, saying, “We are working to maximize the amount of oil and natural gas exiting the Strait of Hormuz.”

Vance noted that they are trying to understand whether Iran is willing to make the long-term changes necessary to establish better relations with the U.S., saying, “If they are not willing, that's fine. We will apply every possible pressure and continue to extract as much oil and natural gas from the Middle East as possible so that Americans can benefit from lower energy prices. All diplomatic, economic, and military tools are being employed regarding Iran.”

Vance emphasized that their expectations for any agreement are for the oil and natural gas output to return to pre-conflict levels, claiming that ‘the Iranian side is also in agreement on this matter.’
