Trump announces intention to demand compensation from Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump addressed reports on his social media account regarding Iran's demand for war reparations from the U.S. Trump stated that the conflict was initiated on the grounds that Iran would not possess nuclear weapons, saying, “Iran is demanding compensation for damages incurred during the five-month military conflict; however, this issue was never raised in any negotiations we conducted. But this is an interesting idea, because now I am demanding compensation from Iran for all the people killed and severely injured due to roadside bombs and many conflicts. Additionally, compensation should be paid to the families of the hundreds of thousands of innocent protesters killed by Iran over the last 50 years. I have instructed my representatives to firmly bring up this issue in any future negotiations.”

Trump made another statement on his social media account regarding the issue, expanding his compensation demand. Trump commented, “In the context of negotiations, Iran should also be held accountable for the damage and loss of life inflicted on the people of Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Gaza.”
