Lebanese President Joseph Aoun reported progress in negotiations with Israel.
A statement from the Lebanese Presidency indicated that President Joseph Aoun provided an assessment regarding the negotiations conducted with Israel. Aoun emphasized that progress has been made in the negotiations, highlighting the 'framework agreement' signed between Lebanon and Israel on June 26 following the fifth round of direct negotiations held in Washington.
Noting that Israeli attacks on Lebanon have decreased since the signing of the framework agreement, Aoun stated, "This has positively impacted the return of Lebanese people to spend the summer in their country. The Lebanese are united in their goals regarding Israel's withdrawal from the country's territories, the return of prisoners, and the reconstruction of destroyed areas. We will not allow Israel to remain on even an inch of our land," he said.
