Andras Baka becomes Hungary's new president
Former European Court of Human Rights and Hungarian Supreme Court judge Andras Baka has become Hungary's new president.

The Hungarian parliament convened today to elect the new president. Andras Baka, the sole candidate for the presidency and a former judge of the European Court of Human Rights and the Hungarian Supreme Court, received 140 'yes' votes and 6 'no' votes from 146 members of parliament. After the election results were announced in parliament, the national anthem was played and Baka was sworn in as the President of Hungary.
