The opening ceremony of the NATO Evaluation Level-2 (NEL-2) training for a pair of Mi-17-1V helicopters operated by the Azerbaijani Air Force was held within the framework of NATO’s Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) Programme, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
Initially, detailed briefings were provided on the objectives of the training, safety procedures, and other key matters.
In accordance with the programme, live-fire exercises were conducted at the training range, along with practical firefighting exercises.
Additionally, theoretical and practical evaluations were conducted to assess the individual competencies of military personnel.
The training, which will run until October 29, aims to evaluate and certify the operational capabilities of the declared pair of helicopters to ensure compliance with NATO standards.
