UN Tourism Secretary-General: Azerbaijan brings countries and cultures together through the Baku Process

“Azerbaijan continues its consistent and patient efforts to bring countries and cultures together through the Baku Process. We express our sincere gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan for creating opportunities to meet, listen to one another, and find common ground. This is where cooperation begins,” UN Tourism Secretary-General Shaikha Al Nuwais said at the opening ceremony of the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, themed “Dialogue for a Shared Future,” in Baku.

Referring to her meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, Al Nuwais highlighted the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held in Baku, which brought together countries with serious differences around the same table.

She noted that the adoption of a joint declaration by the participating countries at the summit demonstrated that cooperation is possible despite differences of opinion.
