In Thailand, 8 people have died in the last 10 days due to floods and inundations caused by monsoon rains.
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) in Thailand announced that approximately 600,000 people have been affected by the heavy rains impacting 25 provinces across the country, and 8 people have died due to the floods in the last 10 days. In the statement noting that about 52,000 households in the capital Bangkok, declared a disaster area in 50 districts, have been affected by the flood, it was stated that approximately 5,000 people have been evacuated to shelters due to the flood.
