As part of the international forum “SOCGOV 2026: Digital Analytics for Smart Governance,” held in Khankendi, a ceremony was held to award the winners of the “AI4DOST Social Award 2026” competition.
The programme began with a networking event and masterclasses on national heritage, offering guests an interactive cultural and innovative experience. A visual introduction showcasing the extensive reconstruction and development efforts underway in Garabagh, including Khankendi, was also presented.
At the opening ceremony, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev presented Turkish Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan with a symbolic carpet created by SAİDA (Social Artificial Intelligence DOST Agency), the DOST Agency’s AI solution.
The international and local jury members of the “AI4DOST Social Award 2026” received Certificates of Appreciation for their contribution to evaluating projects and selecting finalists and winners. The competition’s finalists were also awarded certificates for their innovative initiatives and significant social impact.
The competition winners were then presented with their awards.
The competition featured four international categories — “AI-Based Digital Solutions in the Social Sector,” “Social Volunteering and Citizen Initiatives,” “Scientific Contribution to Social Development” and “Regional Social Initiative” — and three national individual nominations: “Young Social Innovator of the Year,” “Social Transformation Leader/Initiator” and “For a Sustained Contribution to Social Development.”
A total of 84 projects were submitted, including 32 from Ukraine, Greece, Uzbekistan, Russia, and other countries across the international categories, and 52 for the individual nominations. Following jury evaluations, 20 projects reached the final, with seven winners selected — one in each category and nomination.
Furthermore, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity in recognition of the fifth anniversary of its opening.
The award ceremony concluded with performances by the Centre’s trainers and beneficiaries.
