Rift Valley Regional Police Chief Samuel Ndanyi announced that a fire broke out at a girls' boarding school in Nakuru, Kenya, during the night, resulting in the deaths of 10 students and injuring many others. Ndanyi stated that the fire started while the students were asleep and spread rapidly throughout the building. An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
