On September 11, the delegation of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), which is visiting China, met with Xu Qinxian, head of the Eurasian Department of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

During the meeting, the parties commended the elevation of Azerbaijan-China relations to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership thanks to the joint efforts of President of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev and President of China, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping. They highlighted the exemplary relationship between Azerbaijan and China, highlighting the cooperation on a multifaceted basis, which includes mutual respect for each other’s interests, support for sovereignty, based on the principles of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Detailed information was provided on the socio-economic growth and future goals of both countries, highlighting mutual interest in broadening their collaboration across various sectors, including political, economic, scientific, educational, cultural, and humanitarian areas.

Highlighting the importance of Azerbaijan's New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) collaboration, the sides emphasized that reciprocal visits serves as a significant catalyst for strengthening ties between parties and countries.

It was emphasized that the tasks arising from the cooperation memorandum signed between the two parties during the visit of the YAP delegation to China last November were successfully implemented.

The meeting also addressed other issues of mutual interest.

On September 12, the YAP delegation participated in the opening ceremony and plenary session of the “China in Sight, Global Insight” Forum 2025, which was attended by more than 200 representatives from 43 countries.

At the plenary session, Hikmat Mammadov, head of the YAP delegation, member of the party's Board of Directors, and member of the Milli Majlis' working group on Azerbaijan-China interparliamentary relations, delivered a speech on the topic "High-quality cooperation for global peace, stability and development."

As part of the visit, the delegation also toured the Imperial Palace, the Beijing Library, China Grand Canal Museum, and Great Wall of China.
