Iran Foreign Ministry: US submitted revised articles for rejected peace plan
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi announced that despite the US publicly rejecting Tehran's 14-point peace proposal, it has sent revised articles and assessments through Pakistan.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi, during his weekly press conference, provided assessments regarding the indirect talks with the US and regional developments. Noting that negotiations between the two sides are ongoing, Bekayi stated, “After Iran conveyed its 14-point plan to the US through Pakistan, the US side presented its own assessments. In response, we also conveyed our views. Although the American side announced to the public that this plan was rejected, we received some revised articles and assessments from Pakistani mediators reflecting their perspective.”

Emphasizing that Iran will absolutely not negotiate or make concessions on its rights, Bekayi noted that his country's right to enrich uranium is secured under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and does not require recognition by other parties.

Addressing the security situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Spokesperson Bekayi stated that Iran and Oman see it as their duty to take necessary measures to ensure safe maritime traffic in the region. Holding the US and Israel responsible for the current situation in the Strait, Bekayi expressed that the attacks by these countries have compelled Iran to take measures to defend its national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity within the framework of international law. Bekayi conveyed that they are in contact with Oman and other relevant parties to develop a mechanism aimed at ensuring safe passage through the strait while protecting the security of coastal states.
