Trump's 'Deal with Iran' Announcement
US President Donald Trump announced that the agreement with Iran is planned to be signed today and that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened immediately after the signing.

US President Donald Trump, in a statement on his social media account, commented that the agreement made during former President Barack Obama's term was 'seamless' for Iran's path to nuclear weapons. Trump, who argued that the current agreement is a 'wall against nuclear weapons', stated that Iran no longer wants to possess nuclear weapons. Trump noted that the agreement is planned to be signed today, saying, "The Strait of Hormuz will be open to everyone immediately after it is signed. The US's relationship with Iran is 'very different and much better' than previous administrations. There will be no 'transfer of funds' regarding Iran's frozen assets," he said.

Trump stated that the enriched uranium in Iran will be destroyed 'when everything calms down' and 'at an appropriate time' either in Iran or the US, saying, "We look forward to working together with Iran and the entire Middle East for many years. I hope the process proceeds quickly, easily, and smoothly. If it doesn't, I hope we have a final alternative that will never be used again," he said.
