Five People Quarantined in France After Possible Contact with Ebola Case
French Health Minister Stephanie Rist announced that five people, suspected of having contact with the country's first Ebola case, have been quarantined as a precaution.

French Health Minister Stephanie Rist made a statement to the national press regarding the Ebola case. Rist recalled that the Ebola virus was detected in a doctor who returned yesterday from a humanitarian mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), noting that the person in question is an experienced doctor. Rist stated that there were no symptoms when the doctor boarded the plane and that the virus was not contagious.

Rist said that the doctor, who complained of a headache during the flight, informed the authorities of his condition, and upon landing, he was taken to the hospital and placed in a 21-day quarantine. Rist emphasized that they are investigating those who were close to the doctor on the plane and announced that five people, thought to have been in contact with the doctor, have been quarantined as a precaution.
