Trump comments on plane making emergency landing in Saudi Arabia
U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the co-pilot of a plane making an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, saying, “It appears he was either a terrorist or an unstable person and stabbed the pilot.”

U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement to reporters at the White House regarding the incident on the plane that made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia while traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Trump said he had a long discussion with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the matter, stating, “It appears the co-pilot was either a terrorist or an unstable person and stabbed the pilot. Netanyahu reported that an Israeli plumber on the plane intervened after hearing screams from the cockpit. The passenger had never flown a plane before. He took the controls, pulled up, and managed to stabilize the flight before it crashed.”

Trump noted that Netanyahu said the passenger learned what to do in an emergency from a television program, adding, “That's the story I heard. I don't know if it's true.”
