Zelensky: Our position on the front is much stronger this year

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in a video message shared on his social media account that he met with representatives of the Ukrainian army and security forces. Zelensky noted that he received information from the army about developments on the front line and reported that they were conducting operations against the Russian army in the direction of the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. Emphasizing that they regained control of a 1,000 square kilometer area as a result of two separate counterattacks organized in different regions of the front since the beginning of the year, Zelensky said, “This operation is the third counterattack. Since October 14, there have been many ballistic missile attacks carried out by Russia. More than 100 ballistic missiles have been launched at Kyiv and the region within two weeks. Unfortunately, there are serious supply constraints and the delivery of air defense packages is delayed,” he said.

Zelensky conveyed that they could be more successful on the front if allies provide timely support to Ukraine, stating, “It is worth noting that our position on the front this year is much stronger than it has been for a long time in this war.”
