Egyptian scholar talks about Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum on YouTube channel

Egyptian professor Khaled Azab published an interesting video about the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum on his YouTube channel “Culture and Books.”

The Egyptian scholar discusses the history of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, recognized as the world’s first carpet museum. He notes that the museum building, constructed in an original style, resembles a rolled carpet. The museum preserves a rare collection including carpets and carpet products, metalwork, textiles, clothing and embroidery, ceramics, glass, wood, paper, jewelry, books, and photographs.

Director of the Architecture House at the “Halqa” Foundation operating in Egypt, Professor Khalid Azab, told an AZERTAC correspondent in an interview that he is interested in Azerbaijan’s rich culture and history and regularly releases programs on his channel about the country’s cultural and historical sites. He is currently preparing events and lectures on Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi and miniatures depicting his works.

Khalid Azab is a renowned scholar in Islamic culture and architecture. He is the author of several books on Arabic calligraphy and Islamic architecture.
