Director of the International Mugham Center, Honored Artist, tar player, and Uzbekistan’s cultural ambassador Sahib Pashazade, together with soloist of the International Mugham Music Academy, Garabagh University lecturer, Honored Artist and drum performer Kamran Karimov, represented Azerbaijan at the 2nd World Culture Festival in Karachi, Pakistan.
The artists performed percussion mugham and the composition “Heyrati”, a piece combining mughams and dances based on “Bayati Shiraz”, as well as a program featuring Pakistani national music.
According to the organizers, the concert program—featuring renowned performers—is being held for the second time in Karachi, Pakistan.
