The Intergovernmental Scholarship Program has received 616 applications from candidates seeking to study in China and Hungary for the 2026–2027 academic year following the submission deadlines on December 19 and 22, 2025.
According to the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, a total of 616 e-applications, including 162 for China and 454 for Hungary, were registered via the portal.edu.az platform. Of them, 86 candidates applied for bachelor's degrees, 457 for master's degrees, and 73 for PhD.
The candidates then will be interviewed with the participation of experts from the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, relevant state agencies, and higher education institutions.
