The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction hosted a meeting with the participation of representatives of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company.

The meeting was attended by Gulchohra Mammadova, Rector of the University; Anna Soave, head of the UN-Habitat`s Country Office in Azerbaijan; Raphaëlle Vignol, WUF13 Academic Cooperation Officer, Acting Head of the Capacity Building and Training Unit of UN-Habitat; Jamila Ismayilzadeh, Content Manager of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company.

The meeting discussed the opportunities for academic cooperation within the World Urban Forum (WUF13), the participation of universities in the process of forum, and the mechanisms for the contribution of scientific research and educational institutions to the global urban planning agenda.

The presentation of the scientific and practical potential of the University in the fields of urban planning, architecture and sustainable development on the WUF13 platform, and the opportunities for active participation of the university in the forum were in the spotlight of meeting.

The parties hailed the prospects for organizing joint events, academic sessions, scientific discussions and exchange of experience within the framework of WUF13 and expressed their interest in enhancing cooperation.
