On January 26-28, Azerbaijan's gastrotourism opportunities were introduced at the Madrid Fusion Alimentos de España 2026 in Spain.

According to the State Tourism Agency, samples of national cuisine and biodiversity, national confectionery products and dried fruits were showcased at the national gastronomy stand.

Ramiz Hasanov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Spain, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN Tourism Organization, visited the Azerbaijani stand and familiarized himself with the products.

The national gastronomy stand was also visited by the director of the "elBulli" foundation, master chef with 3 Michelin stars Ferran Adrià.

A meeting was also held between Azada Huseynova, Deputy Chairperson of Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency, and Stephanie Kim, the International Director of La Liste, the international gastronomic ranking organization.

The meeting focused on cooperation with La Liste and the international recognition of Azerbaijani gastronomic products.
