On January 31, the premiere of Giacomo Puccini’s world-famous opera Tosca was staged at the Royal Opera House Muscat in the capital of the Sultanate of Oman.

The performance, presented by the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, was attended by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Adil Karimli and members of the leadership of the Royal Opera House Muscat.

The production, featuring renowned tenor and People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Yusif Eyvazov in the leading role of Mario Cavaradossi, was met with great interest by the audience.

The opera was performed with the accompaniment of the symphony orchestra and choir of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.

The appearance of the Azerbaijani artistic collective on the stage of such a prestigious venue as the Royal Opera House Muscat represents a significant event in promoting Azerbaijan’s musical culture at the international level.
