Azerbaijan’s Cinema Agency, Georgian National Film Center sign memorandum

Azerbaijan was represented at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) held in Berlin, Germany.

As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation conducted business meetings and discussions aimed at promoting domestic cinema internationally and establishing cooperative partnerships in the field.

The Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARKA), operating under the Ministry of Culture, and the Georgian National Film Center (GNFC) signed a memorandum of cooperation at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Berlin. The memorandum aims to enhance co-production mechanisms in audiovisual activities, provide joint services to local and foreign film producers, increase projects reflecting the cultural values of both countries, and promote the portrayal of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in cinematography.

The document was signed by ARKA Director General Rashad Azizov and GNFC Director General Mamuka Bliadze. It also envisages the signing of additional agreements to facilitate the implementation of cooperation initiatives arising from its provisions.

The Berlin International Film Festival will continue until February 22.
