The Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and Ege University of Türkiye held an online meeting with the participation of the senior leadership teams from both universities to discuss the implementation of the double-diploma program between the two institutions.
During the meeting, discussions revolved around the program, its academic and administrative coordination mechanisms, as well as financial and management issues.
Addressing the meeting, Zafar Gurbanov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Agricultural University, said the program is aligned with the university's internationalization strategy to enhance research, and improve the quality of specialist training. Gurbanov emphasized that the dual-degree program is strategically vital for academic mobility and cooperation.
Rector of Ege University, Prof. Dr. Musa Alcı highlighted the growing ties between the two institutions. He noted that the joint program strengthens academic prestige and expands exchange opportunities. He added that future goals include joint research, innovative teaching, and deeper university-industry cooperation.
The parties also discussed implementation mechanisms, funding, quality control, and sustainable development strategies for the program.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Financial Agreement for the dual-degree program, which is vital in strengthening the legal and financial framework, clarifying mutual obligations, and ensuring long-term institutional cooperation between the two universities.
