Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Huseynov met with Director of the Innsbruck City Music School Wolfram Rosenberger to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation and the exchange of expertise in music education.
The meeting was also attended by Leyla Gasimova, Director of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center.
The sides exchanged views on music education for children and adolescents, the training of high-level professional personnel, and the development of students' creative skills. The discussions focused on a series of initiatives, including the organization of international and local competitions, the establishment of summer and winter music courses, and the hosting of joint scientific conferences and masterclasses.
Deputy Minister Murad Huseynov underscored the vital role of music education in shaping the worldview of the younger generation.
Noting that Azerbaijan boasts rich and ancient musical traditions, the deputy minister stressed that integrating international best practices is of great importance in maintaining the excellence and contemporary relevance of Azerbaijan’s educational system.
Wolfram Rosenberger highlighted the activities of the Innsbruck City Music School, noting that as Austria’s largest music school, it currently fosters the talents of over 4,700 students, with diverse curriculum spanning symphony orchestras, jazz and rock ensembles, and specialized training in keyboard, string, and folk instruments.
The participants also discussed prospects for cooperation in developing musical skills of the younger generation and enhancing school management, as well as other matters of mutual concern.
