In connection with the events taking place in the Middle East, another evacuation flight from Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, to Baku is being carried out to return Azerbaijani citizens remaining in the region, including those in the United Arab Emirates, to the country.
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) told AZERTAC that the landing of the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft operating on the Muscat–Baku route at Heydar Aliyev International Airport is expected in the coming hours. Nearly 200 Azerbaijani citizens are expected to safely return to the country on this flight.
Currently, AZAL, as the national air carrier, is ensuring the safe and scheduled operation of flights in accordance with procedures established by the relevant state institutions.
