Azerbaijan's experience presented at global discussions on education at UNESCO

A delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli attended the 6th Annual Meeting of the Global Education Coalition held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France.

In his remarks at the ministerial dialogue on impact of digital transformation in education, Deputy Minister Hasan Hasanli provided insight into the achievements attained under the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026." He also highlighted the initiatives to advance digital skills, as well as steps undertaken to integrate AI solutions into the national education system.

The Global Education Coalition (GEC) is a dynamic global platform for multistakeholder cooperation to drive education transformation to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4. Since it was established in March 2020, when Coalition mobilized support at all levels to mitigate the disruptions to education caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, members have continued to collaborate to support the continuation of learning in emergencies and accelerate the transformation of education.

The Coalition has grown into a significant network with more than 220 institutional partners from the UN family, civil society, academia, and the private sector, all united by a common goal to advance inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning.

Active in 112 countries, the Coalition’s work underscores four ambitious action-oriented, target-driven missions to transform education.
