The Garabagh Revival Fund will act as the official partner of the International Carpet Festival, which will be held on May 2–3 in Icherisheher.
During the festival, the Fund will be represented by an interactive stand to be set up at the Gala Square in Icherisheher.
The International Carpet Festival, which annually brings together thousands of local residents and foreign tourists visiting the country, serves as an important platform for promoting Azerbaijan’s national heritage at the international level.
Since its establishment, the Garabagh Revival Fund has been consistently engaged in raising awareness among both local and international audiences through various platforms, as well as promoting the large-scale restoration and reconstruction projects carried out in the liberated territories under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The Fund considers this festival another important opportunity both to present its activities to a broad audience and to promote a culture of donations and strengthen national solidarity, which constitute key directions of its work.
In line with its core mission of promoting a culture of donations and strengthening national solidarity, a number of interactive activities are planned at the Fund’s stand.
A specially installed carpet loom at the stand will serve as a live demonstration of Garabagh’s centuries-old carpet-weaving heritage. Within the framework of this awareness initiative, each visitor will have the opportunity to symbolically add their own knot to a Garabagh carpet. Woven knot by knot by citizens, this carpet will embody the collective effort, unity, and solidarity of the people in the mission of Garabagh’s revival.
Through the interactive puzzle game “Pearls of Garabagh,” visitors will symbolically take part in the restoration process by assembling images of Garabagh’s historical and cultural monuments. At the end of this educational activity, which is expected to attract visitors of various age groups, participants achieving the highest results will be awarded special prizes by the Garabagh Revival Fund.
In addition, students of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts will create live artworks based on the unique motifs of Garabagh carpets at the interactive stand, conveying the creative spirit of the festival to visitors.
Alongside cultural heritage, the ecological restoration of Garabagh will also be in focus.
Each visitor to the Fund’s stand will have the opportunity to contribute to the restoration of greenery and the revival of nature in the liberated territories.
Through informational materials and monitors installed at the stand, visitors will be able to obtain detailed information about the Fund’s activities, the current status of ongoing work in the region, and future projects.
