Fabiola Morales, Vice Mayor of Lima, met with Seymur Fataliyev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Mexico and Peru, to discuss opportunities for expanding cultural ties and implementing cooperation projects between the two cities.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the organization of cultural events between Lima and Baku, as well as strengthening the exchange of experience among various institutions. Both sides stressed the importance of further cooperation between the cities.
As part of initial agreements, the Azerbaijani ambassador proposed donating a traditional Azerbaijani carpet for the “Ancient Civilizations” hall of the Metropolitan Museum of Lima.
The initiative aims to enrich the museum’s cultural collection and further strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between Peru and Azerbaijan.
