In January–April of 2026, Azerbaijan welcomed 60,269 tourists from European countries, marking an 8% increase compared to the same period in 2025, Report informs, citing the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
Tourist arrivals from Eastern Europe totaled 30,175 (+1.4%), with Ukraine leading (10,544), followed by Belarus (6,105), Poland (3,334), Hungary (1,535), and Moldova (1,404).
Western Europe accounted for 30,094 visitors, marking a 15.5% year‑on‑year rise. The largest groups came from the United Kingdom (7,416), Germany (7,045), Italy (4,314), and France (1,891).
Overall, 658,100 foreigners from 175 countries visited Azerbaijan in the first four months of 2026 – 11% fewer than in the same period last year.
