The aircraft with Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin on the 'passenger list' crashed in the Tver region.

The private plane, which was stated that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Russia-based paramilitary organisation Wagner, was also on the 'passenger list', crashed. Russian media announced that the plane crashed in the Tver region, 3 pilots and 7 passengers were on board. No official statement has been made yet on whether Prigozhin was on the crashed plane.

The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) announced that a special commission was established and an investigation was launched into the crash of the ЕВМ-135BJ type private aircraft. "According to preliminary data, 7 passengers and 3 crew members were on board the aircraft, which was travelling between Moscow and St. Petersburg. While the Rosaviatsia commission started initial work at the crash site, it also began collecting materials on the training of the crew, the technical condition of the aircraft, the meteorological situation on the flight route, the work of dispatch services and ground radio equipment. At this stage of the investigation, experts will also investigate the control devices on board the aircraft for further deciphering and analysing the 'black box' records. The investigation into the accident is ongoing."
