Hong Kong records heaviest rainfall in 140 years
In Hong Kong, China's special administrative region, flooding occurred after the heaviest rainfall in 140 years yesterday. Authorities announced that schools were suspended for 1 day due to the flood disaster.

The downpour that affected Hong Kong yesterday brought life to a standstill in the city. According to the data announced by the Hong Kong Observatory, 'the downpour lasting more than 7 hours was recorded as the highest rainfall since 1884'. While streets and roads were flooded, metro stations became unusable. In the city where transportation was suspended, authorities announced that education was suspended for 1 day.  It was announced that citizens should pay attention to the warnings to be made on television and radio broadcasts in the city, where a black category rainfall alarm was issued. It was reported that unfavourable weather conditions will continue.
