An event dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Victory Day was held at the George Washington University in the U.S. capital, organized by the Azerbaijani Students Association of George Washington University, with the support of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with for Diaspora.

The event brought together Azerbaijani and foreign students studying at various universities in Washington.

First, Gulnur Aghakishiyeva, a student at the university's Faculty of International Relations, delivered a presentation about Azerbaijan. She informed the audience about the history, culture, economy of Azerbaijan, the history of Victory, the peace process, and the peace agreement signed between the leaders of Azerbaijan, the U.S., and Armenia in Washington on August 8.

The event also featured a Q&A competition among the students regarding the presentation, the results of which demonstrated the students' high level of interest.

Then, the participants enjoyed various dishes from the Azerbaijani national cuisine.
