“The Zangezur Corridor is of strategic significance for Azerbaijan, the Caucasus, and the entire Turkic world. The corridor will greatly contribute to strengthening economic ties, enhancing transportation routes, and ensuring lasting peace in the region,” said Mergen Kepbanov, Director of the Project Office of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) in Turkmenistan, during a panel discussion titled “Zangezur Corridor: A Bridge Uniting the Turkic World.” The session was held as part of the Solidarity Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations from the Member Countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), inaugurated in Baku.
He emphasized that the Zangezur Corridor plays a crucial role in fostering regional unity and supporting the shared development of the Turkic world.
