Paris to host annual ITF 2026 annual consultations

Azerbaijan’s ITF Presidency priorities will be highlighted at the event

The annual International Transport Forum consultations with international organizations will take place in hybrid format, in the Convention Center of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in Paris, on December 2.

The consultations will discuss the next stage of the international dialogue, which plays an important role in shaping global transport policy.

Azerbaijan will be represented by Leyla Abdullayeva, the country’s Ambassador to France, outlining the Azerbaijani Presidency’s ITF priorities for 2026.

Held since 2007, these meetings aim to enhance cooperation in the transport sector, bringing together over 60 international, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations from around the world.

The 2026 ITF Summit will be held under the theme “Funding Resilient Transport”, while the 2027 ITF Summit will be themed “Governing Resilient Transport.”

Representatives of international and intergovernmental organizations, financial institutions, industry associations, regulators, research centers, and trade unions will attend the consultations.

Young Tae Kim, ITF Secretary General, Mary Crass, Head of Institutional Relations and Summit of the ITF, and Leyla Abdullayeva, Azerbaijani Ambassador to France will address the event.

At the event, the ITF Secretariat will present the organization's research on sustainable transport and explore collaboration with the participants.
