Employment contracts in Azerbaijan grew by 45 percent from 2018 to 2025, says minister

Between 2018 and 2025, the number of employment contracts in Azerbaijan rose by 45 percent (or 595,000), with 92 percent of the growth accounted for the private sector. During the same period, the national wage fund grew 3.12 times, including a 3.16-fold increase in the non-state sector, said Anar Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, during the presentation ceremony of “Dayag” award.

“In order to ensure active employment of the population and in response to the challenges of the modern labor market, the Employment Strategy of Azerbaijan for 2019–2030, approved by the relevant decree of the head of state, forms the basis of the long-term state employment policy aimed at ensuring effective employment of the population," the minister added.
