Putin: If there is a direct attack, the use of all weapons will be on the agenda
Russian President Vladimir Putin said, "If there is a direct attack on Russia, including Kaliningrad, the issue of using all the weapons we possess will inevitably and immediately be on the agenda."

Russian President Vladimir Putin made an assessment on the agenda at the annual meeting of the International Valdai Discussion Club held in the capital Moscow. Stating that he supports the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on Kaliningrad and the expressions in the letters sent to some countries, Putin said, "If there is a direct attack on Russia, including Kaliningrad, the issue of using all the weapons our country possesses will inevitably and immediately be on the agenda. We have not threatened any country, we are not scaring anyone. We do not plan for 2029, 2030, or 2050, but if we face an attack, we will have to respond. Citizens of European countries should clearly understand this, and they should distinguish between our stance and the stance of some political leaders in their countries. Today, the weapons Russia possesses are not owned by anyone else. This is our superiority," he said.

Putin noted that Ukraine aims to harm the economy by attacking Russian oil refineries, saying, "They have partially achieved their goals. In response, we retaliated in the same way. We have started attacking facilities important for their economy. We did not start this. Bans and sanctions are being applied against our oil and oil products. There are sanctions against insurance. How will our diesel reach the world market while sanctions continue? It will not. In return, we are expected to stop attacks on their economically sensitive facilities. You would agree that this seems illogical. These issues can be discussed on the basis of mutual interests. We are in favor of maintaining freedom of navigation and the rules of international maritime law in all regions of the world," he said.
