The 2nd Meeting of the Heads of Defense Industry Institutions of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held on 1 October 2026 in Baku on the sidelines of the ADEX-2026 Exhibition.
The meeting was attended by Vugar Mustafayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Industry; Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS; and the heads of defense industry institutions of the member states.
Addressing the event, Minister Vugar Mustafayev underlined that holding the meeting simultaneously with ADEX 2026 – the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, was of particular importance. He emphasized that the event creates a significant opportunity not only for holding discussions but also for showcasing the countries' actual industrial capabilities, technologies, and potential partners in a single venue.
The meeting addressed issues related to human resources and engineering capabilities, institutional cooperation, joint production and industrial collaboration, research and development, as well as new technologies.
The Secretary General of the organization and the heads of defense industry institutions of the member states also delivered speeches.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of a “Roadmap for Cooperation in the field of Defense Industry among the OTS Member States” for the year 2027.
