Trump comments on Zelenskiy: It's time for Ukraine to have a new president
U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy for his comments on the diesel agreement with Russia, stating that it's time for Ukraine to have a new president.

U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters outside the White House, targeted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who criticized the diesel supply agreement reached between the U.S. and Russia. Trump claimed that Zelenskiy wanted to create global problems by continuing attacks on Russian refineries and accused the Ukrainian leader of avoiding reaching an agreement.

Trump stated that Ukraine should elect a new leader who can reach an understanding with Russia and called for elections to be held in the country. Arguing that Russian President Vladimir Putin is open to a solution that would end the conflicts and provides oil to the world, Trump said that the Russian side is willing to reach a peace agreement, whereas Zelenskiy is not inclined to negotiate.
