Investigation Launched Against Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez
An investigation has been launched by the Spanish Central Election Board against Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez for allegedly holding a press conference using public resources.
The Spanish Central Election Board (JEC) has launched an investigation against Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez for allegedly using public resources to hold a press conference following the Cabinet Meeting, during which he made an election-related speech. The main opposition People's Party (PP) and the Celebration is Over (SALF) Party filed complaints against Sanchez with the JEC. Accepting the applications, the JEC decided to open an investigation against the Prime Minister under the law concerning the General Election Regime. It was stated that Sanchez could face a fine ranging from 300 to 3,000 euros as per the law.
