U.S. President Donald Trump, in a post on his social media account titled 'To the Great People of Israel', stated that he supports Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the elections to be held on October 27. Trump claimed that Netanyahu is a 'great warrior' and a 'great peace partner' of the U.S. in the fight against Iran, arguing that Iran is being systematically destroyed both militarily and financially. Trump stated, "If they do not change their ways quickly, we will finish the job soon. If Israel chooses a leader other than Netanyahu, although it is not my intention, the U.S. will have to do this job itself."
Noting that Netanyahu has endured despite strong opposition, succeeded, and become even stronger, Trump said, "This is the type of partnership the U.S. demands from Israel. This letter is an expression of my full and unconditional support for Bibi Netanyahu, who is running again for the Israeli Prime Ministership."
