Iran: You cannot start an arbitrary war and play the victim
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi reminded that the US and Israel attacked Iran during ongoing negotiations, saying, “You cannot start an arbitrary war, set the region on fire, and then play the victim.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi criticized the US and Israel in a post on his social media account. Reminding that within less than 9 months during the ongoing negotiations, the US and Israel launched two attacks on Iran, Bekayi stated that children were killed in Minab, girls lost their lives in Lamerd, their leaders were assassinated, and sanctions were intensified during these attacks. Bekayi noted that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 17 was also ignored by these countries, and now the world is being asked to condemn Iran.

Emphasizing that the cost of the US and Israel's unlawful aggression is being paid by the entire world through regional instability and global economic insecurity, Bekayi said, “You cannot start an arbitrary war, set the region on fire, create global chaos, and then play the victim. You cannot evade responsibility by blaming the aggressor and putting the victim in a guilty position.”
