Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yuriy Ushakov said, "Russia is ready to restart trilateral negotiations with the US and Ukraine in November."
Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yuriy Ushakov made a statement regarding the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg. Ushakov said that Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner participated online due to health reasons.
Ushakov noted that this was the ninth meeting between Putin and US representatives, and stated that the three-hour meeting was comprehensive and candid. Ushakov emphasized that Witkoff informed Putin about the content of the negotiations held in Oslo, saying, "Witkoff mentioned some new elements in the approaches of the Europeans and Kiev, but there were not many elements in these new approaches that could be beneficial for resolving the Ukraine crisis."
Ushakov noted that Putin appreciated the US's mediation efforts and mentioned that the possibility of restarting trilateral negotiations with the participation of Russian, US, and Ukrainian representatives was discussed. Ushakov stated, "Putin informed Witkoff that we are ready to restart these trilateral negotiations on the main issue in principle around November 10. Witkoff said that such a decision would undoubtedly be met with great satisfaction by President Trump."
