U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement to the press regarding current issues during a roundtable meeting held at the White House. Trump, who stated that they continue to work towards ending the Russia-Ukraine War, reported that contacts with Moscow have intensified and they are close to a resolution. Trump said, “Perhaps we are closer to a solution now than ever before.”
Trump expressed his satisfaction that Russia and China have not been involved in the war process with Iran, stating, "Russia, despite having the capacity, has not interfered in the process."
Speaking about the release of American teacher Stephen Hubbard, who was detained in Russia, Trump said, “We gave nothing to Russia in exchange for his release.”
