“Brotherly Türkiye will host COP31, and Azerbaijan will actively participate in this process. Meetings are planned with the Turkish delegation to exchange experiences and impressions. The next COP will be held in Ethiopia, and we have already begun cooperation with the Ethiopian team as well,” Representative of the Azerbaijani President on Climate Issues and COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev told journalists.

He added that the formation of the COP29 team, Azerbaijan’s strong presence in the process with a clear vision and priorities, President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, and the country’s hosting of the event represent a significant achievement for Azerbaijan.

“The publication of the “World of Diplomacy” journal and its presentation to the public will contribute to sustaining our achievements and enhancing public awareness. This is particularly important, as the establishment of a ‘green economy’ has been identified as a priority in Azerbaijan, and ensuring the sustainability of this process is of great significance,” Mukhtar Babayev emphasized.
